Once upon a time, there were two best friends named Mike and Eric. Eric was a fan of Pepsi and always carried a bottle with him, while Mike was a Coca-Cola enthusiast and never left his home without a can of Coke, if his parents allowed him.
One day during 4th Grade English Class, they had to select a topic to debate on and debate said topic in front of the class. They decided to have a friendly debate to determine once and for all which soda was superior. Eric argued that Pepsi had a sweeter and smoother taste, while Mike countered that Coca-Cola had a classic flavor that couldn’t be beaten.
The debate went back and forth, with both friends presenting compelling arguments and evidence to support their positions. In the end, neither of them was able to convince the other.
Frustrated, they decided to provide the rest of the class with a can of each so they could determine the true winner for themselves. They had them taste both Pepsi and Coca-Cola.
To their surprise, the results were split down the middle, with half of the participants preferring Pepsi and the other half preferring Coca-Cola.
In the end, Eric and Mike realized that the debate wasn’t about which soda was objectively better, but rather about personal preference. They hugged each other and laughed, happy to have each other as friends despite their differences.
From that day on, they continued to enjoy their respective sodas and never had another argument about it. They realized that it was all just a matter of taste and what made them happy.
